When memory moved past 2GB and people began seeing "out of memory" errors from VFP's attempts to exceed its 32-bit limit, some of us reviewed data from (I think it was) Mac Rubel asserting little benefit from increasing VFP memory past 32MB. Many developers standardized on 64-256MB which still is tiny on a modern PC. Any of those settings is far larger than most VFP exes, which presumably explains why it's so reliable to extract the whole app from memory. By my understanding, you'd need to try pretty hard in 2021 to get VFP not to make the app memory resident.
