>That is exactly what he says.

No, I am not and never have been.
You can ready my postion as long back as 2004 here. https://www.levelextreme.com/Home/ViewPage?Activator=1021&ID=973271

Quote: . If you have to deal with others code you will have to use the programming style used there. If they use mdot, then you should adapt using mdot.

>He will go out of his way to avoid using it specifically because he does not like how it looks which is childish and stupid.

No, again that is not the whole story. Naming conventions make explicit distinctions between fieldnames and variables. You can recognize them easily and therefore reduce the chance of making programming mistakes, as confirmed by Fabio at the time here:

https://www.levelextreme.com/Home/ViewPage?Activator=1021&ID=970951

Qoute: You speak about safety,
but is more probable to have one field-variable collision with the Walter's protocol (totally different syntax names)
or with equal names (SCATTER TO MEMVAR) and always using the prefixed one mDot?

Enough to make a small calculation and one looks at that the method of Walter is surer;

>My position is it is absolutely required in many cases because of the way many apps have been "built".
See the link above. I'm saying exactly the same.

>It is part of FoxPro's functionality.
There is a lot of functionality in VFP that is considered outdated and bad practice.

>Naming conventions are not.
Strawman, naming conventions are not for compilers, but to aid readability. As with every language.

>Further he goes out of his way to actively deny my position.
Wrong, see above.

>I have had enough of such low-brow idiocy. So, I'm a bad guy for defending myself against repeated harassment over the years?
Read the first link above and tell me who was acting like a jerk there. You've got to look into the mirror. With all the name calling, hate and aggressiveness, the only one you can blame is yourself.

>Good. I now see there are people I thought were friends, but are not worth my time. Funny how few have shown any support. Some wonderful community.

>Tamar I have known for years. She recently threw the term toxic masculinity at me. Guess where it really belongs?

She said nothing of the sort in the message you are referring to. You are reading things that have not been said. The community is not failing you, but with your actions and language, you are the one failing the community.

Seek some help Mike. You clearly have problems in seeing things into perspective.
