>I have a grid which i set the HeaderHeight property to Zero and the Header Wordwrap property to true. It looks perfect at design time time but goes fubar at runtime. My first thought was that the grid was being destroyed somehow and reconstructing, but i keep disabusing my self of that notion. I don't seem to be able to work it out. Some light in the darkness would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all who replied to this thread.
While i am not opposed to people owning guns, i realize that I should not be one of them.
It turn out, as all suggested, i had a class running unobtrusively in the background which very kindly saved and restored the size and dimensions of all my objects. Yes Martha even the grids header.
Fortunately there is a string property of this "resize manager" which allows me to exclude a list of classes form consideration.
I added "Header" to the list and viola! My grids column headers and just the way i would like them.

Again, thank you all for your kind attention in this matter.

i am only worried in the short term. once there is a problem, the solution usually presents itself.
