I'm fine with two monitors, 1920x1200 both, I'd say 22" (more... about 62cm... dunno, inherited them from daughter) but the right one is upright. I once bought a special 50$ stand to be able to do that, but in the end these Dell's babies can do them right out of the box. Works perfectly for me, I keep this setup for years.

Now if I was to fit a third monitor, it would be also vertical - perhaps all three vertical or just middle horizontal. I don't intend to experiment with that, I don't code seriously nowadays :).
