For the Interweb to offer similar civilizing effect will probably require common carrier rules and eradication of anonymous accounts that always seem to be part of the trouble. Meanwhile I've closed Facebook and other accounts to avoid worsening intrusiveness; even my Samsung phone recently demanded access to Contacts if I want to count steps using their Health app, so that I'm now looking at Chinese phones that may be used oppressively elsewhere, but seem to be the least intrusive for Western users. Who would have thought it?

At a young age, yes, everything.

Lies that seek to alter the democratic process are a danger to society. What to do about that is up for discussion, and can not be ignored.

An economic system that disrupts family and community is a danger to society. What to do ...

An economic system that leaves the lowest workers behind (in the US, if the minimum wage were to have been adjusted for inflation from ~1970 on, it would be $25.50) is a danger to society.

The biggest danger that democracies face lie within. Deal with those dangers, and the democracies will rise united against any external threats.
