That's true, she doesn't.....and part of the reason she's untouchable? The huge DNC machine and the media.

One of the biggest examples of the left realizing they've got a friend in the media: the 2nd debate between Obama and Romney in 2012. That moment, in microcosm, shows the quintessential relationship between the left and the mainstream media.

I never cared much for the opinions of Rush Limbaugh, but he said one thing I thought was profound.
Someone once said to him, "You sure rail against Obama all the time. Are you THAT afraid of him?"

Limbaugh's reply: "No. I fear the base that will protect him, regardless of the reasons" (or words very similar)

And yes, you can say things about those on the right as well. And yes, I believe Trump bears some responsibility for what happened on Jan 6th.

As much as I'm happy that things are turning the corner, I fear that we are getting further and further away from 2 fundamentals that should resonate with any country:

- The most proper role of government is the protection of life and liberty and individual rights. OK, I agree with some public works and some business/government investment partnerships for infrastructure, and I agree that no child should ever grow up malnourished.....but the first role of government is protecting the rights of citizens. Period. If the government can't even do that correctly, it should just do nothing (as opposed to inventing ways to interfere)

- The most proper role of all citizens - behave decently and responsibly. It shouldn't be that hard. And if a person isn't even capable of doing that - at least don't be a d**khead.

If those could be the first 2 fundamentals on which to build a society, we'd all be better off.
