Do not install any program outside %ProgramFiles(x86)%, %ProgramFiles%. There is a reason to protect programs.
The recommended way is to alter the storage path in Tools / Options / File Locations.
There are some odd app that try to store to HOME(0).
You can hack those apps, they are usually in FSource
