>>Building the attidude of "tests are not necessary in vaccinated / previously infected" already is wrong in heavily vaccinated places like UK or Israel.

Since Jenner did his thing, vaccination was known not to be 100% effective in everybody, but this is acceptable if the goal is "herd immunity" so that remaining unvaccinated and ineffectively vaccinated are still protected. Hence testing generally isn't done to assess effectiveness, with history tending to validate this model. Testing might actually cause anxiety or resistance if individuals think they're at risk if their vaccination was ineffective or immunity is short-lived, especially if people think the vaccination is for personal protection rather than herd immunity, as seems to be a widespread belief for C19.

It's also true that vaccination can be contra-indicated after you've had the bug. As an example, many jurisdictions recommend a Mantoux test before adult BCG (Tuberculosis) vaccination. The Mantoux test involves shallow skin injection of a particular TB antigen. If you react, it means you've been exposed to TB and vaccination is contraindicated as it conveys no clinical benefit and can have unpleasant side effects.

That was the widely accepted science in pre-C19 days and I've seen no actual science on whether C19 vaccination after infection is clinically useful or even safe, or whether testing vaccinated people helps or hinders herd immunity.

C19 is different from the likes of TB, Polio or Measles because other Covid is known to mutate enthusiastically, which is why people can get common colds (most of which are Covid) every year. So I agree there's a lot of uncertainty with today's "misinformation" possibly tomorrow's "science" or vice versa. This is why scientists should not be going on national TV expressing certainty or making pronouncements about vaccines or masks if you may have to walk it all back tomorrow. Scientists may understand that medical response changes with the facts, but much of society associates current official advice with certainty and lashes out if others express doubts.

Hidden behind the scary C19 tallies are other causes of mortality and morbidity that never seem to excite this level of upheaval or heroic prevention. Internationally, cardiac disease is the biggest killer and remained so even at the height of the C19 pandemic, yet nobody ever produces chyrons showing accumulating national carnage or proposes huge societal change such as elimination of fat and sugar from foodstuffs, or compulsory medical intervention if you are obese or have other risk factors. So lets hope they don't get ideas...
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
