Trump is a symptom of the bigots and yahoos that that party has embraced with open arms.
He let them come out in the open and in many ways he did the country a service for letting everyone see them for what they always were.
Some of them called themselves the Tea Party after Obama's election.
I missed it completely but now we know what they really were.
I can understand why many of our elected officials echo this idiocy - they're pandering for votes - but it scares when I see seemingly normal people buying into it.
The good news is that we now know who and what they are.
