I dont buy this at all in respect to the masks. We might have been in the fog with respect to the effects etc. of the virus (maybe - depending on what Rand finds out). But there can be no fog in respect of whether surgical and cloth masks could provide any protection. Either you know, as a life-long scientist in virology, that virus particles are thousands of times smaller than the holes in those masks (hundreds of thousands of times smaller in cloth masks) or you skipped class and are totally incompetent to hold the position you hold. You cannot be both an expert in virology and ignorant of the basic physics of virus'. Sorry, that does not wash. Masks were tossed out there as a comfort blanket as the UK SAGE doctor claimed in The Telegraph article and anyone promoting them is either (1) in on the "comfort blanket" messaging, and/or (2) simply ignorant of the physics involved.

I like Rand. I think he is going to uncover a whole mountain of ugliness regarding covid and it's "novel" status. There is starting to appear a lot of smoke and you know what they say.

Fauci has shown himself to be just another politician enjoying his moment of fame, the limelight, the interviews, the attention, throwing the ball out at the game, the book deal, the money, etc. He should have been honest with people, he should have been a scientist, but instead, as you said, he tried to "fool all the people all the time". He is just another self-promoter (with a cloth mask) like (most) of the rest of them. Just like that hypocrite Ferguson across the pond. If you can't see that then you haven't been in sales long enough :)
