Except that most hospitalizations and deaths are with covid, not of covid, due to patients being obese and/or with multiple co-morbidities. Being hospitalized and dying of obesity, being a smoker, having heart disease, being unfit, and many other diseases due to your
life-style choices etc. also have a cost. Why does the government not mandate that overweight and obese people lose weight, or mandate that sugar consumers stop consuming sugar, or that smokers stop smoking and alcohol drinkers stop drinking. They are all a cost to society's healthcare system and could have been prevented if only you had chosen to change your life-style.
