The numbers for "our" age groups when looked at in "10 year lumps" (0 - 12, 13 - 17, 18-25 or 18- 29, ten years from then on) mostly for the legal reasons of turning 18, today seem clear - writing that with clear understanding that pro and contra sides of vaccination were distorting facts and numbers, although from my POV not in the same amount.

I have no problem to be honest about being happy to NOT be given a chance to vaccinate in the very first few months after vaccination start. From trials efficacy was proven, but # of tests to sift out vaxx side effects was lacking, also the group marked as vulnerable by Covid19 was underrepresented at least ;-)

After millions of doses given to people older and sicker than me I vaccinated (as expected months earlier) - but in the shoes of a 20y old or parent of a teenager I'd have a difficult decision today, as mortality risk for those groups is minimal, data on "long covid" mostly still anecdotal.

There is no solid reason to suspect vaccination to have worse effect than Corona infection or even showing Covid19 symptoms in those age groups: probably I'd still wait till end of August to have more early bird vaccinations of other kids. Not a decision I'd run to as the official reason "to stomp out Corona" is a lost cause IMO IAC.

Vaccinating kids mostly to protect the lives of old age vaccination shirkers is a no-go IMO. Data of risk/reward for young people sorely lacking - and probably at least half-intentional from side of pro-vaxxers.
