I have an environment which is configured with a Windows Authentication mode, for each report in the data source. This is additional procedures we need to maintain as we move from one environment to another one. Thus, when we deploy, we have to consider using development, acceptance and production accounts. We would like to adjust to SSO and use the option from the user displaying the report.

I have read documentation on that and there are ways to do it. The default security authentication mechanism is NTLM. I tried to change to one of the RSWindows Negotiate or RSWindowsKerberos but was unable to make that work.

Basically, if a user is configured with the ability to view a report (Browser) then I would like the Single Sign On authentication to rely on that. We also have been given access to the website at the domain level to those specific users.

This the page I am referring to :

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/security/configure-windows-authentication-on-the-report-server?view=sql-server-ver15

Has anyone been successful in using that approach?
