>There have been confirmed reports of Afghans who worked for U.S. forces, who are hiding documents that showed they worked for the U.S. - documents that could be dangerous if their home is raided.....but yet that they may need to show if they hope to be evacuated while visas are still in process.

>Rarely do I give a pre-emptive warning of, "Anyone who says XYZ better be ready for an argument"....but I will personally go off on anyone who defends what is happening by saying that Biden was bound by Trump's plans. Of all the crap I've heard today (from both sides), that one is the worst.

Leaving natives you depended on and worked with is lousy. But the aim was always muddy - going after Bin Laden with troops into a country having fought off foreigners for generations in hindsight compares bad against offering a cool billion and take action like Obama did. Bush IMO wanted to send troops - he went into Iraq as well. Obama at least got Bin Laden (but I give him credit only for guts of execution, not for ferreting him out). Have not followed Trump politics in that area to form educated opinion, but his track record elsewhere suggests "stable genius" is better used to compare him to livestock.
