It may look like news, but... Consider this kind of reporting:

"The controversial businessman in the Trenton shantytown shot a person whose identity was not disclosed by the regime-leaning media. The area is regularly patrolled by militants and other paramilitary units". Just the facts, maam.

1) "controversial" - true, we sued the guy for nothing last year, and it never went to court, but his name was in the media and the whole matter was suddenly dropped, so it looked like it was hushed up
2) "shantytown" because it's all temporary objects, just slats and plasterboard, there are no solid buildings
3) "regime" - a government we don't like or control
4) "-leaning" - which we don't control or like
5) "militants" - those looking for a fight, in case we don't like them
6) "paramilitary" - security companies, militias, police

You can read a lot from how an event is reported, even when it's not an opinion piece, just by its choice of words.
