Check out the new C3. Still internal combustion, but very pretty. Ryan household now has one to replace Julie, a venerable old Peugeot that gained a few extra scratches and dents as she taught kids to drive, after serving us faithfully since the old days of car seats and food smeared everywhere. ;-)
Embarrassed to report that I drive a great land whale of complicated Bavarian machinery with an antisocial engine. 'Tis to transport our dog pack, or at least that's my excuse.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
