So do I.
I remember walking along Wall Street back then when brokerage houses had people sitting at card tables outside their front doors.
They'd hire keypunch operators on the spot regardless of the asking salary.
The operator would make a deal, walk a few hundred feet south on Wall Street and make a better deal for more money.
It was insane - almost like an auction.
It probably hit its zenith for me when I was waiting for a subway on the William Street station in the Wall Street district.
Some guy held up some papers and yelled "I write COBOL/CICS" and got job offers right there on that subway platform.

When a company like FedEx runs prime time commercials costing millions to ask people to come to work there, something is up.
It might not be card tables or subway platforms - yet- but something is definitely up.
