No clue, that old phantom bugged me too at odd times. Never learned the cause, nor a sure fix. Most of the times, some forced navigation in the grid was necessary before it would properly refresh. Something like go to correct record, followed by a SKIP 0 (yes, zero). This usually forces some reaction from fox, moving the record, even for zero records, often triggers proper reaction. Used this more in the old days, before internal SQL, when we used relations a lot, so this would force repointing the related-into tables to show the correct record. Why and when it would, or wouldn't, work on grids remains a mystery to me.
