>>>I have this problem using our app with general fields and Crystal Reports (but i think the problem is not Crystal Reports) When i print an image imported in a general field (BMP format), in the report i can't see the image, but i have a simple icon with the name of the file i imported in the general fields.... With previous pversions of Windows we have no problems.... This problem only with Windows 11 verified on different pc (not only one)...

>>Do not use GENERAL. They depend on to many assumptions. For example, they store the OLE handler to the GENERAL field. If opened later and this handler is not available, it fails. Also a waste of file space. Store links to the files instead. (And, duplicate the pics to something near the database, while obfuscating filename)

>Ok. But in this way i don't know how to print these images in a list in Crystal Reports (we use version 9). At the moment with general fields we can associate to every item in my table one image and then print it in a report.... If i use an external image file i am not sure to be able to print it in a simple list...

Crystal might be special here. consider to create the OLE on the fly to something temporary from the links. At least this comes around the problem with the odd OLE handler.

Side question. The pics invisible are stored under WIN11 or with older Windows? Possibly M$ removed the default handler of the old Windows ..
