I am looking for suggestions to improve the Excel spreadsheet, Roster we have (the club I belong to).
The spreadsheet has a column MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY. The entries in this column could be Individual (this is simple), or Family (head of the family), or Family Member. I need to "tie" Family (head) to the Family Member(s). The spreadsheet is in alphabetical order by last name. And often times the Family Member has a different last name from the Family (head) (e.g. husband and wife have different last names). So when you look at a Family row it is not clear who is/are his/her Family Members. And when you look at a Family Member, it is not clear who is his/her Family (head of the household).
How would you address this in Excel spreadsheet?

UPDATE. Here is how I decided to tackle this challenge. I added a column Family ID and will enter the same ID for all members of the same family. Regardless of their last name. The IDs will start with F01 and will go up to F02, and so one. This way, I will be able to quickly find (by Searching) all members of the same family.
