>>It's so discouraging to see this kind of misinformation being perpetuated.

>>The issue with COVID isn't that it's dangerous for children (though it certainly can be), it's that children pass it along just as easily as adults. So while you're knickle-and-diming to keep kids from getting vaccinated, those unvaxed kids act as a reservoir for the disease, passing it on to their more vulnerable relations. Some of whom will certainly die. Far more will be desperately ill.

>At best the “vaccine” offers a personal protection in the form of a claimed reduced severity if infected. It neither prevents infection nor transmission (CDC acknowledges this) therefore those who take the “vaccine” do not help others but only possibly themselves. Therefore it should be a personal choice - no medication is without risk and potential side-effects. In addition, the virus has been found in multiple animal populations which act as a reservoir which will always be with us.

>If you think 2 shots, 1st booster, 2nd booster, injecting teenagers, children, babies is the end of it you are naive. Let's all enjoy our 3 monthly boosters forever. I'm sure our children and grand-children will thank us. Buy Pfizer stock - they’re making US$1000 per second from this "vaccine".

More disinformation. There has never been a vaccine that offers 100% protection from infection. (It's a testament to just how effective the COVID vaccine is that pro-COVID propaganda now embraces this ridiculous and biologically impossible standard.)

The MRNA COVID vaccines we have available in the US dramatically reduce the likelihood that an infected person will get sick (even w/o booster). They dramatically reduce the likelihood that an infected person will need to go to the hospital. They dramatically reduce the likelihood that an infected person will die.

So it's more like

1) The vaccine reduces likelihood of infection, reduces the severity of symptoms, and reduces the transmission period
2) Children also benefit from the vaccine with shorter & milder illness
3) Give everyone the vaccine
4) Life can go back to normal

The pharmaceutical industry is full of profiteers and just downright awful practices (e.g. selling epinephrine for $800 and insulin for $300). Producing an effective and safe vaccine against a novel virus in under a year is probably on the list of things we all think the drug industry is SUPPOSED to do. I do not begrudge Pfizer and Moderna their well-earned profits.
