I hope you have a prosperous, healthy 2022 with lots of birdies. The mend is doing great - the wound is smaller and only .7mm deep. I think about you every time I go up or down the stairs. I huff and puff because I have to use the "baby butt" system - to go up I do a left foot spin off my knee rider and a butt down to the 2nd step then butt up a step and pull my crossed legs up a step and repeat 13 steps to the landing then a butt slide around and 5 steps more to the 2nd floor and finally a pull up and spin on my left foot and into a wheel chair - then I huff and puff.
