>>In the US numerous states have imposed onerous and arbitrary restrictions on abortion seekers and providers. None of it is for medical or societal reasons. It's entirely religious.

>“D” was picked up as a toddler urchin off the streets of Seoul by a Catholic agency.
>A Catholic family in New Jersey adopted “D” when he was still a toddler and then went on to have 6 natural children. “D” was an outstanding student and a star running back on his high school football team.
>He went to college as part of Marine ROTC. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa, got married, served 4 years active duty and was discharged as a Marine captain.
>His wife (also Phi Beta Kappa) started a software company while “D” was on active duty. After his discharge she stayed home to raise a family (they have 6 children) and “D” ran the company.
>The company has 20 employees and continues to prosper.
>Each year “D” and his family take time off to work at Habitat for Humanity, building homes for people who can’t afford them.
>The oldest of their children is “J”, whom they adopted from Cambodia as an infant. The rest of their children are natural.
>“J’ just graduated from a prestigious college (also Phi Beta Kappa) and is beginning a career with a national accounting firm.
>The accomplishments of the other kids are too numerous to mention.

>When I'm lucky enough to spend a few hours with that family my mental health jacks up tenfold.
>They are a treasure.

That's a lovely story. Though it has nothing to do with abortion.

I don't begrudge anyone the incredibly personal decision to keep or abort a pregnancy. But I think in either case, the woman has a right to quality healthcare.
