One thing that "bit" me was that I had assigned custom properties/events to VFP5 classes that were subsequently made "standard" in VFP6. Eg. I gave all my base classes a "release" method and a "tag" property. I couldn't open them in VFP 6 and I think I simply got a syntax error.
