I guess it really depends on what you are actually distributing.
If it's just your executable, then that's easy.
If you have data maybe you'll need a data folder (is that going to be installed separately on a shared folder somewhere? Then you'll need to point your executable at it somehow).
Sometimes I distribute reports and put them in a shared folder.
