First, don't include FXP files in the repository. They're created when a PRG is compiled so they're generated, and there's no need to include anything that gets generated in a repository (that goes for MPR, MPX, QPR, QPX, BAK, and TBK files).

Second, I'm not sure what you mean by "checking in", because Git doesn't have the concept of checking out/in files like VSS does.

Third, what folder is the PRG in? Is it in a subdirectory of the repository (i.e. the folder that has the .git folder) or somewhere else on the drive?
