What I'd like to achieve is a way to use a set of objects from the python interpreter with highly visual feedback and support from the IDE. Basically having a full display of parameters meaning, default settings and more with a view to offer a way to use (part of) the package straight from code without the QT ui layer.

I have not used python recently (my experience is pre-2000). But I understand that, assuming your code is high documented (docstrings annotation...), a recent IDE can and should provide a way to invoke application-level objects without the associated documentation at hand!
