I have used two (2) IDE's that I like"
1. Wing IDE - it was one of the first I used and I really enjoy using it. It has it all - debugging, command line, projects, Special support for QT and web modules (Django, Flask) etc... It is still my preferred go to when working with Python. IMO the debugging is much better than Pycharm.

2. VS code. I have used VS code a lot recently because of the support for web tech it provides. That said, I have also used it for Python development. It's not bad and has many features (way more than I know about). But it was not as intuitive as Wing IMO.

I always return to Wing because the wing software team concentrates only on Python and have done a good job in supporting all of the new PEPs and fpython features to the IDE. Where as VS code and pycharm (based on Java supporting almost everything) try to be everything to everyone.

BTW - there are few free python editors on the web. I recall using one when I started programming in python 15 years ago (maybe longer).
