Others already mentioned easy/ier ways to access OneDrive and similar.
Paranoid me shuns such stuff most of the time.
If you want to read up on that stuff, WebDAV protocol is a starting point.

FTP is even worse - from the happy unencripted days.
Use FTPS or better SFTP - pretty certain Rick implements them nowadays.
IMO having a dedicated server for SFTP gives less attack surface.
