It's NOT converted. It's only that you once see it from your browser or other UTF-8 capable reader, and then you get that UTF-8 encoded text in Fox, which isn't.

Don't know which parameters were available to strconvert() in VFP6, but you should do two conversions there: first from UTF-8 to DBCS, then from DBCS into your codepage.
