This is not fair.
Kenny is a dear friend and the best golf partner I ever had.
He was better, but he made it seems easy.
He was the starter at Lawrence Country Club while we were in college and I was caddy master.
We played every day when the course closed. I never beat him but we had some close matches.
His sense of humor was infectious. He introduced me to Jean Shepherd.
Kenny was at our wedding.
Kenny was an observant Jew and the wedding was a high mass.
He told me later that he was waiting for a virgin to be sacrificed. It never happened but he made it through it all.
Back in the late fifties, Kenny was a pioneer in the use of lasers in eye surgery. He was one of the best eye surgeons of his time.
It's just not fair.
We shouldn't be losing people like Kenny.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
