>Worse, it doesn't mention how collation changes the ordering of keys when applied to a numeric or date index. Though, I didn't try it since 1998. (when I found what it does). You could actually get an unreachable value if set collation in your app was different from the collation in the tag.

One of the reasons to force MACHINE and forget about the rest, I guess.
