Don't mean to brag, but I can pretty handle the normal ones. It's the oddballs where I need to ask for help.

That's an interesting idea. There's no grid on the form in this case, but lots of Valid code. I've definitely fixed a bunch of issues that resulted from Valid code firing in View mode and leaving me with changed fields. That's worth checking for, though until now, whenever that's happened, GetFldState() tells me which field is involved.
