It seems that I'm not very clear... please forget the preceding 2 messages and just follow up that :

Our application was build with independent modal forms, each form active at only one time. Then, our boss asked us for have a "cosmetic" form (with an image or a logo for example), to be displayed in the background.

BUT he wants the application forms to remain modals, because he don't want users to hide or minimize forms, to avoid hot-line calls, and so on (in order the sofware to be cost/technic effective). So we have removed the Min and Max Buttons on each forms, also with the Control boxes. In certain circumstances, we also have Dialog Boxes. See ? Right. The problem remaining is that, with those modal forms, we can't minimize the application in a click.

Notice : several forms can be displayed and partially covered by the active one. This is wanted by design.

So MDI appeared to be THE solution, but we encounter the "child can't be shown modally" problem. And we find the idea to use an infinite DoEvents loop. Remember ?
So, I still wonder which is the best solution. I'd prefer not use MDI (for the reason exposed above), and I have to have a kind of "container" form in the background...

Is this clear enough ? Or am I killing whales with a penknife ?
