>Does anyone know why I get a 'Syntax error' message when attempting to open most (but not all) of my VFP 5.0a forms in VFP 6.0?

Melanie,

There have been a number of threads since the VFP6.0 release on this subject, you might want to search on "syntax error" to pull them up.

The error does not happen very often, but its cause appears to be the result of your having defined a property or method for your form that duplicates a property or method now standard for VFP6.0. The solution seems to be a laborious process of examining each of your user defined for properties/method and finding out which one (or more) is the same as a new VFP6.0 property or method.

Also a strong letter to M$ is warranted about this latest stupidity.
