>I agree 100%. As a side note -- I would think that VFP developer pay-rates should be going up as there are fewer of us every year. At the same time there are fewer foxpro apps every year too so perhaps it balances out? i know that COBOL programmers can make big money these days because most of those developers are older and retiring so there is a huge demand for them and no one to fill the jobs. Difference of course is that there is a lot more COBOL code in use than Foxpro code.

In many places they can never afford to switch, i.e. write from scratch or buy an OTC app, so they keep endlessly patching old apps. Back in 2010. over here I saw a POS app, on a nice flat monitor... written in FPD. How do I know? Well, couldn't resist peeking, and the color schema was exactly the one from the then bundled screen generator.

Or, in 2005, I had to write some reports by downloading the supplier's stock report from Walmart. So I had a peek in the source of the page while looking for a convenient way to find the exact url from which to download, and found things like „don't touch this part, it comes from the Fortran app“.
