I know that kind of user too - one I came across spent over $3,000 per workstation only for the screen (3 years ago) so that they could have 21" screens with very high resolution so that they could have a bajillion windows open at the same time.
It was really something to watch them effortlessly switch to/between screens that maybe only had an edge showing.
