>So, after 31 years with Stoody, my job is " ending " on November 18th. It's not that I left my job - its's that my job left me.

>I have to admit, I was NEVER a programmer. I realized that typing product certifications manually on our first PC in 1992 was such a wasted effort. It started as a WordPerfect macro and then moved to a DBase 3 application. My boss at the time decided to send me to a weeklong training class at Microendeavors in PA. From there, I developed the Stoody QDMS (Quality Data Management System). For 25 years this application has been the technical backbone of the company!

I'm a NY native but spent a couple of months at camp Breckenridge in Morganfield, KY attached to the 101st Airborne before shipping to Korea. I loved my time there- it's a lovely state.

One mistake a lot of people make is to underestimate how much being available is worth - it's worth a lot to someone who needs what you can do.
It doesn't seem that way now but you'll see later how much it is.
Keep the faith
