I prefer the express profiler (yup, that's the name), which is quite limited - seems to work on only one instance of SQL, I think the local one - but is very lightweight, below 200K is the exe, and is order of magnitude easier to use. The profiler which comes with the server is an admin tool, designed to do everything; this express profiler is just a handy programmer's tool, clean and simple.
