I have been able to send a PCL command to my printer from the report writer by setting a field equal to that command and then inserting that field in the footer of the report. However, to my dismay it only seems to work with 1 driver. The standard Laserjet 4 driver simply prints the codes on the report instead of executing the codes like the other driver did. The codes call a macro that is in memory and prints a form on top of my report. I cannot figure out how to do this and still use the standard printer driver interface my users are used to. Any ideas on how to get PCL commands to the printer through a standard HP laserjet 4 driver?? Any comments are welcome.
