Not really a NDA but we do have a gentleman's agreement, so if we didn't spill the beans over the last fifteen years, no need to do so now. The circumstances were that the app was written by an amateur, became too popular too fast, so in the following four years there was a rush to add more features and whatever the numerous customers wanted to have, and it quickly became a mess. Then we had a year or two when the data and bizlayer engine were rewritten from scratch. Not perfect, but very, very good, fully OOP, stable, robust and pretty much everything you'd want. Then there was time to redo the GUI, clean it up, cut out dead code, automate the update installer, refactor some large chunks, one by one.

Ends when you retire :). Just look at my website - it's all generated in Fox, and most of the code is almost 20 years old. Once every five years I revamp the looks of it, but not much, because I don't care about following each cosmetic trend that comes along. I prefer to have content shaped minimally, rather to have minimal content in a whiz bang shaped page. But that's where I have full control, there's no pressure to make money on it.
