I admire Git for successfully doing what M$ was always doing - presenting a product which does what dozens of others also do, but slightly differently and a bit better, with its main feature being that nothing is called the same as in other such products, and the things that may have similar names actually do something else. Succeeding under such circumstances is a rare feat.

The same set of features is exactly the reason I'm not using it. After some five source control apps, where the terminology was more or less consistent, and I knew exactly what they were doing, I don't feel like learning a new set of meanings and wrapping my mind around them. Too old for that shit.
