I have intended to update the download page as offend as I can with a history of corrections list. Can you suggest any web pages to better educate me on how to use GitHub?

As Lutz said, step 1 is getting comfortable with Git. Rick Borup is the reason I started using version control. His introduction to Mercurial finally broke through for me. Here's his introduction to Git: http://www.ita-software.com/papers/Borup_ComfyWithGit_published.pdf

FWIW, I don't like doing source control from the Command Window, so I'm using SourceTree as a wrapper for Git. If you go that route and you prefer not to convert your SCX/VCX files to text before committing them, be aware that I've written an add-on for SourceTree that lets you use Beyond Compare on those files.
