Yes it is more serious that a lot of people realize. There are actually more cheerleading injuries that football injuries. I have a cousin that was the lead cheerleader for the KC Chiefs for a few years -- that was also a lot more work than you would expect as they had them doing a lot of stuff that didn't even inovlve cheerleading.
