DEC VAX9000 mainframe was awsome machine -- I worked on the largest DEV VAX mainframe cluster in the USA many years ago -- I was a VAX/VMS & DCL expert I mastered it & had it doing a lot of crazy stuff. Same place had a Unisys 1100/70 and a couple of Honewell DPS7's and 6'sand a Data General Eclipse (I think it was a MV/8000??). .... but my favorite was the DEC VAX machines for sure. It was an amazing place to work when I was like 18 years old & just starting out, I was really lucky to score the job.
