Forgot about that, tried and it complained about my FreeType font utility being too old, 2.05. I downloaded 2.13, but it has no installer and comes as a zipped source with a makefile. I tried to run make on it, but it complained a lot and did nothing.
Installed QEMU, as it has come to the worst case and I may even launch a windows, which came with an installer but no clear instructions on how to launch it (!). Doesn't even tell you the command name. Tried a few guesses, nada, uninstalled. Then installed VirtualBox again, and then I discovered that I've meanwhile deleted my .vmdk file for the C: drive, of the last W7 that I used. Kept the mostly unused 120G of its Q: drive... duh.
I guess I'll find some old Windoze, perhaps there's a W2k lying around. I still have a few of those on the shelf...
