I had a client in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn who introduced me to seriously great Italian food, including pizza. Bay Ridge will stand forever as the gold standard for Italian food.
That said, I came to the Trenton area 17 years ago and was surprised to find some really good Italian food, with a Chambersburg twist.
Tomato pies are the Chambersburg iteration of pizza and they're delicious - not Bay Ridge level - but really good.
I've had some pizza in Pa and De that was inedible.
