[shrug] Don't know what San Francisco is like nowadays -- hadn't been up there since the 1980s. I do recall back in the 1970s and 1980s it didn't seem too bad back when I'd visited the area (though mostly limited to places like Fisherman's Warf, Ghirardelli Square, parts of Chinatown and Japantown).
