The EXE is running properly for years now. It's just a quite shut down on the new bought PCs.

These are the only dlls present in the same directory/folder together with the EXE file
msvcp71.dll
msvcr71.dll

Are there any that should be included if the newer OS in new PCs did not include them?

Thanks for the reply,

Sonny

It's interesting if there's no error dialogs or logs, just a quiet shut down on more than one affected machine.

We used to see this a lot if people tested in the IDE then built their exe without a READ EVENTS, but if you have the exe already running properly then that won't be the cause.

Is it possible that your error handling is shrouding something like missing dependencies on newer OS? E.g. Windows used to ship with standard VC++7 dlls needed by VFP or add-ons like Craig Boyd's encryption and archiving flls, but those dlls are no longer included in newer OS. The easiest way to avoid this sort of issue is to include all dependencies in your installation folder with your exe. If you confirm which dlls are included in your distribution, an "aha!" moment may result.
