On the top menu, under text (2.6) or format (vfp), there is a fonts selection. Click on text or format with the shift key depressed and you get a screen fonts selection. Click that and you get a list of fonts and sizes, and you can change your screen font. This doesn't seem to affect the print font in many cases
In Foxpro 2.6, if you list 4 dates and a record number from a table to print, you get them all on the left side of the page, with 1 space between the columns (unless the column headers are too long). In VFP, you get lots of space between the columns, so that the data usually wraps and you don't have a listing that you can use or give to a user. When VFP adds space between columns, it seems not to know how wide the paper or the desktop is, so it will wrap in both places when it could easily fit the data on one line. Adjusting the font with 'set printer font' doesn't stop this extra padding, although if you make your font small enough, you can control the wrapping to some extent.
Does anyone know how to get vfp to behave like foxpro 2.6 in listing to print, so that you can get readable lists instead of elegantly wrapped garbage?
